Do you accept waivers such as CADI waivers and Elderly waivers?
Ans: Yes, we do accept them. In fact, we require them unless the resident is a private pay.
Do you accept GRH or SSI for room and board?
Ans: Yes, we accept SSI for room and board. We are also in the process of applying for GRH approval/certification.
Deposit/Application Fee?
Ans: The good thing is we do NOT have a deposit or an application fee.

Ans: We have two immediate openings now at 1225 Cook Avenue East, Saint Paul, MN 55106, and 5 openings in our other location on Oakridge St., Saint Paul, MN 55119.
Waiting List: (size & length of wait time)?
Ans: We currently do not have a waiting time.
Forms of payment acceptable?
Ans: Yes, we do accept direct deposit, checks, and money orders.
Are you subsidized rent? If so, what is the pricing for rent?
Ans: Although we are working on that, sadly, we are not subsidized rent yet. For that reason, we cooperate reasonably with our potential residents in a fair manner for all.
Age group served?
Ans: We serve individuals 18 and above in our 1225 Cook Ave. location and those who are 55 years and older in the Oakridge St. home.

Ans: Yes

Smoking outside?
Ans: Yes, we do have multiple comfortable chairs placed outside for our residents to enjoy.
Pet Policy? Do you allow cats and/or dogs to visit and stay if spayed/neutered?
Ans: Sadly, no, we don’t allow any kinds of pets in the facility, neither visiting nor staying.
Do you guys do 1-2 person assist?
Ans: Yes, we do 1-2 person assist.
Do you guys do bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding tube, etc.?
Ans: Yes, we do bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding tubing, and so on.
How many residents are in a home?
Ans: Our Cook Ave. home has four (4) resident rooms, and the Oakridge St. has five (5) resident rooms.
Do you have stairs?
Ans: Yes, we do, but our residents with walkers, wheelchairs, or who are bedridden live on the main floor(s) of these two homes. Those residents who have no trouble walking live downstairs.
Is this home 1 level or 2 levels?
Ans: Our homes are considered one-level homes and have a downstairs.
Do you have Stairlifts?
Ans: We don’t have them yet since we never needed them, but we can install them when needed.
Is your home extra secured?
Ans: Yes, our homes are extra secured with ADT security systems. We have security alarms and cameras on every exit door, plus 24/7 awake staff.
Does anyone speak a different language?
Ans: Yes, all our staff are multilingual. Most of them speak two or more languages, and some even speak four languages (for example, English, Arabic, Urdu, Swahili, and Somali).
Do you accept residents with Dementia?
Ans: We don’t have a specialized locked unit for Dementia residents.
Felony friendly?
Ans: Yes, we are felon friendly.
24/7 awake supervision?
Ans: Yes, we do have 24/7 awake staff.
Proximity to bus stop?
Ans: We’re very close to a bus stop, shopping areas, dining areas, and a gas station.
Transportation for Outings?
Ans: Yes, we do provide transportation for outings to our residents.
Do you have a notice period?
Ans: Yes, we do have a signed 30-day notice period if and when a resident wants to move out.
Do you have a wheelchair ramp?
Ans: Yes! We do have a wheelchair ramp at the backside. In fact, we currently have residents in wheelchairs.
I can’t walk or stand on my own at all. How many staff are on shift at a time? Are you fully staffed?
Ans: We are fully staffed, and we have two staff on duty at all times, except during the night shift when all residents are asleep.
Is someone available to accompany me on all outings, including medical appointments?
Ans: Yes! There will be someone available to accompany you on all outings, including medical appointments.
I have huge anxiety about being abandoned, and I don’t like feeling helpless; from experience, many public transportation options out there are not all that prompt. Do you have a wheelchair van to help transport residents, too?
Ans: No. Sadly, we currently don’t have a wheelchair van to help transport residents, but we were told that if we buy the van, the resident’s CADI waiver can pay for making that van a wheelchair van.
Is there a curfew?
Ans: No! But we like to keep our doors locked, and an ADT security alarm system is activated between 11 PM and 6 AM for the safety & security of our residents and peace of mind for their loved ones.
What time does overnight start, and do I have a designated bedtime?
Ans: The overnight shift starts at 11 PM, and no, you do not have a designated bedtime as long as you are in your room at 11 PM.
When are breakfast, lunch, and dinner times?
Ans: Breakfast time starts at 7 AM, lunch at 12 PM, and dinner at 6 PM; sometimes we do early lunch and dinner.
Are fresh, not frozen, offered, and if so, how often do we get them during the week?
Ans: Yes! Fresh, not frozen, are offered in the facility, and residents get them most of the week.
Are there activity nights?
Ans: There could be activity nights, but honestly, we have never done it before.
Are there visiting hours for the family?
Ans: No! There are no visiting hours for the family unless they are showing up in the middle of the night (11 PM to 6 AM) when all doors are locked and the ADT security alarm is on.
Free Wi-Fi and cable?
Ans: Yes! We have free high-speed Comcast/Xfinity Wi-Fi. We have cable TVs in common areas, but everyone gets their own Roku TV in their rooms, which are connected to Comcast/Xfinity Wi-Fi.
If I happen to get home late, past 11 PM, would there still be a code that I could use to open the door?
Ans: You will simply ring the bell or knock on the door, and the overnight staff will open the door for you.
Is there a roll-in shower?
Ans: We currently don’t have roll-in showers in the facility, although we are in the process of making our showers on main floors in both facilities roll-in showers. We have a male resident in a wheelchair who can stand with full support and then can go into the tub and have a shower/bath with full support of a staff. We also used to have a bedridden resident that we used to give a bed bath.
